What is Neurologically-focused Chiropractic?
Neurologically focused chiropractic care is a specialised approach that prioritises balancing the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord), viewing it as the body's master control centre, to improve overall health, not just manage symptoms. A balanced nervous system is crucial for everything from immunity and sleep to mood and physical function.
Using specific neurological exams, we identify areas of spinal dysfunction that may be disrupting nerve communication, leading to areas of tension and poor health. Our focus is to look for the root cause of the problem, aiming for true restoration rather than just masking pain.
We specialise in a variety of very gentle, low-force techniques including SOT (Sacro-occipital Technique), Network Spinal, and Activator. Through gentle, specific adjustments, we aim to remove neural stress and create balance, allowing the body to shift into a restorative state for better healing, development, and function.
What to expect:
Initial Consultation - First visit
During your first visit, we will take a comprehensive health and lifestyle history to gain a clear understanding of your current spinal and nervous system function. We will then carry out a thorough assessment, which may include postural analysis, range of motion testing, orthopaedic and neurological examinations and a comprehensive spinal examination. Once this is complete we may begin adjusting you on this visit, or if required, we will refer you for x-rays or other assessment.
Please allow 45 minutes for this appointment.
Report - Second visit
During your second visit, we will provide a report of all of your examination findings and present a personalised schedule of care designed to help you achieve the best possible outcomes. Your schedule will depend entirely on you, your spine, and your goals, and will be designed to give you optimal results. A reassessment visit will be scheduled to ensure we monitor all elements of your progress.
Please allow 30 minutes for this appointment.
